Michael Calhoun '20 Recruiting Profile

I am going into my senior year at Gate City High School, in small town Gate City, VA.  I am active in my home church, do youth mission every opportunity I get and love to fish and hunt. I also love playing the game of football, so much that I crave it in the off season. I have always dreamed of playing college ball and using that platform to help be an inspiration and example to younger boys. I am a team player that helps keep the momentum going, helps lift others up and will push myself to the point of exhaustion for my team.

I was a starter on the Varsity team beginning my freshman year.  I am working hard every day, trying to improve myself to get stronger and quicker for this upcoming year as I realize it is an important year if I want to fulfill my dream of playing college ball.

I play both offense and defense and would be willing to play any position in order to play at the college level. My main positions are DT, and DE

I am in the top 10 of my senior class, ranked #3 out of 153 students. My future is very important to me, so I give everything I've got in everything I do.

I have a very strong faith in God in which enables me to keep focused, grounded and have the desire to always do everything to the best of my ability.
