Dylan Lawson '21 Recruiting Profile

My interest in football began when I was young always watching both college and NLF games with my family.  However my passion and love for playing the game weren't realized until when I was 8 and my mom signed me up to play indoor arena football! It was during this first year of learning and developing my game that I knew it would forever be a large part of my life.

Since moving to Virginia I have played for an organization where the first year we were undefeated throughout the regular season and made it to the 2nd round of playoffs. The next year we only won 50% of our games and didn't make the playoffs, but that was the year when I learned the most about my drive and dedication to always working to be the best teammate and player I can be. In the years since I have worked on and off of the football field to continue to improve my skills and know that no matter what we accomplish there is always more to strive for. Football has taught me so much about life in general and the kind of work it takes to make your dreams into a reality.

My dream is to be able to take my love of football and use that as an avenue to pursue my dreams and hopefully play football at and above the college level. I am an extremely hard worker and put 150% into everything I do.  There may be a better athlete out there, but no one with more heart and passion for the game and for the dedication it takes to be the best!
