Darian Brooks '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Darian and I am senior at Bruton High School in Williamsburg, VA.  I consider myself as a true athlete, a team player, hard worker, and a very skillful and coachable person. I’m a well-rounded athlete who play multiple positions for my high school team. I play WR, RB, QB, OLB, and Safety for the Bruton Panthers. I am a four-year player on the varsity football team and a three-year starter. My favorite position is receiver.  I am a strong pass catcher who uses his frame well to seal off defenders and make plays. I have good ball skills with awareness to locate open areas in zone coverage and I’m physical in high traffic areas. I’m a tri-athlete playing also baseball and running indoor track. I’ve earned the Captain spot for both my junior and senior years the football team. I earned 2^nd team All-Conference for football senior year and earned 2^nd team All-Conference for football and baseball junior year.  I also qualified for States all four years for track in the 4x200m and 4x400m, placing 3^rd in the State in the 4x200m relay my junior year. As a student-athlete, I am very dedicated and hardworking student who understand the importance of an college education. I currently have a 3.0 GPA and am in the process of taking the SAT. I plan to study physical therapy or something in the sports medical field in college. I know I will be a great asset to any college team given the opportunity to show case my talents.
