I am Mekhi Aujheer Weekly I am part Jamaican and Black (Missouri) I was born on June 27, 2002, around 11 O’clock pm. I grew up in Tacoma Washington I moved to Burien Washington in 2016. I had a nice home life growing up, but I grew up in a gang-affiliated neighborhood, filled with the Hill Top Crips. I went to school on the south side where I lived for my first 5 years of schooling. It wasn’t until attending Washington Elementary that I found my love for track and football. I first played football in my 5th grade I played one year of football as a full and running-back. The track didn’t enter my life until middle school, I ran track 7th-grade year a and went to the playoffs but lost our first game. Now my goal is to play for a greater purpose were the 100-meter dash and long jump. I just really loved both Football and Trackbetter than the other sports I just don’t know why I didn’t play football during my middle school years. After I moved I went to a school that had no sports teams and was just about schooling. During my freshman and sophomore years, I started to gain weight, and get out of shape. Something that really bothered me, looking in the mirror and remembering what I was, and who I was then, was a struggle. In my junior year I started taking my health seriously I didn’t want to be overweight and continue feeling the same way about myself. I took myself to the gym daily, and I picked up track again, I worked hard and I got back into football my senior year. I had my doubts about playing for the team because I wanted to get good and the team was ranked worst high school team in the state, but my friends told me that there will be a whole new coaching staff so I decided to join and I know I got better. I don’t know if I did well enough to get a scholarship since it was my first year of high school football, but I played running back, D-end, and linebacker. I was voted the SPL D-line player of the year and we lead our team to the number one in our division want to play for the love of the game, but I want to play so my parents can see on T.V. on Saturdays and know that there first year born did what they couldn’t and made it to University and have to fun. Really enjoying his time out in the real in the world and experience the things they couldn’t. Football is more than just a sport, there is a lesson to be learned while playing the game you can learn brotherhood, leadership, respect and it teaches discipline in the player. I love the sports I play, and I love the hope it gives my parents to know that I could be the first in our family to do things.
