Matthew Wyland '25 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete, I guarantee that every day I practice and play, I will learn to become a better player. I will push those around me to do the same, anywhere and everywhere I will bring 100% energy with me. I am determined to work hard on and off the field. I have an immense passion for football and can not wait to leave my small hometown and experience collegiate football and all its worth. Wherever I go to college, I look forward to meeting fellow students, teammates, coaches and professors. My only other passion in life is academics and as I increase my skills playing for you, I will also strive towards becoming a smarter player. In the off season, I plan to excel in school and sports. Next year I will be in running start, I only need a couple credits to graduate. 

    Academically, I have a 4.0 GPA and have received all-league academic for every sport, multiple years in a row. In 2023, I received 1st team defensive line in 2b pacific and 2nd Team for offensive line. I also received a team award for best lineman of the year. I had 8 sack and over 50 tackles my 2023 season and promise to stay effective on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, I can put up a solid block and protect my QB, as well as, clear the path. I will work hard to prove my worth to any college team that wishes to recruit me for their roster. I am extremely dedicated to working hard and can't wait to do that for the next school I attend on and off the field.
