I have been playing football since I was 5 years old. Through most of my childhood and middle school I played running back and linebacker. I started on the varsity high school football team as a freshman playing special teams. My sophomore year I started varsity as an outside linebacker and was also used as a running back on varsity. In the two years I have been on the team we have reached the state championship and semi finals for the state of WV triple A. I also ran track on the varsity level this past season and placed fifth in the state in the 100 meter in triple A with my best time being 10.98. I was awarded honorable mention my sophomore year in football for the MSAC Conference.
I am always striving to improve my skills as well as training to get bigger, stronger and faster. I have recently been to Rivals and ran a 4.66 in the 40 yard dash. I have now decreased that time to 4.47 and that is verified through a camp at Kentucky University. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the team on and off the field. My athletic ability has allowed me to play various positions. I am an aggressive blocker and tackler as well as a leader on my team. As my junior year approaches I will still be playing Outside Linebacker but with a man coverage defense showing my ability to stay with wide receivers and will also be playing safety and running back. I feel that my opportunity at the collegiate level will be at a safety or DB position. If you review my highlight films and newspaper articles I have attached you will see that I am a play maker that helps change the outcome of games.
I am enrolled in honors classes. I am interested in pursuing a career in Civil Engineering or Sports Management. I am a volunteer with our community youth football league and local youth football camps. I feel that it is important to be a positive role model to younger kids. I strive to be the best in the classroom and on the football field with the hopes of obtaining a scholarship at the collegiate level.
