I believe I have the talent and the mindset to play at the D-1A level. I am committed to doing what it takes to succeed. I am not interested in shortcuts and I am very willing to work hard. I am self-motivated. I am not willing to do "just enough to get by" and will not accept this attitude from my team mates. I feel that I am a likable person and a leader among my peers. I believe that a lot of hard work and the right exposure will enable me to reach my goal of playing football at the next level.

In 2010, I was named to the All Harrison County 1st Team, the All Big 10 1st Team, and the WV All-State 1st Team.  I also received the RCB Defensive Player of the Year Award and the Frank Loria Lineman of the Year Award.  I was also a finalist for both the Hunt and Huff Awards, two prestigious state-wide football awards.    

In 2011, I was also named to the All Harrison County 1st Team, the All Big 10 1st Team, and the WV All-State 1st Team; I again received the RCB Defensive Player Award and was a finalist for the Huff and Hunt Awards.  In addition, I was named to the ESPN pre-season  WV 1st Team, I was a US Army All American nominee, and I completed the year ranked as the #4 player in West Virginia (and highest rated lineman) by RIVALS.com.
