I am a Junior at Middleton High School and can not be more happier with coaches, the teammates, and everyone associated with Middleton football and other athletics. I also could not feel any more lucky to be able to attend one of the top high schools in Wisconsin.
Currently, I have a 3.37 / 4 GPA, and I am improving my GPA every quarter, I am looking to continue to grow as a student and achieve my goal of getting a 3.7 GPA or higher, and then keep on improving from then on. What makes me want to be a better student is because I know that college is for academics, and in order to have as many options as possible for choosing a college, I have to be a good student in the classroom and a performer on the football field. At school, I find myself taking great interest in AP classes, and business classes, such as entrepreneurship, sports marketing, and many others.
As a sophomore, I was able to achieve my goal from the start of the season of getting my varsity letter, and see playing time on the field, not only during games where we are up big, but also during games where the score was close. Not only did I play defense on varsity, I also played some offense. I played both varsity and JV, and on JV I went both ways, playing both LT and DE/DT. After sophomore football season, I made a decision to stop playing basketball, and focus all of my time on academics and the weight room. After a few short few months being in the weight room, I feel I have gained much more muscle mass, and strength, gaining 20 pounds since the end of football season. My goal is to increase my speed, my hand speed, my foot work, and my technique. My goal for the 2020 season was to be at 260lbs+. Since COVID and taking my training on my own, I am proud to say my hard work paid off as I am more athletic at 285lbs then I was at 240. I will continue to take my weight lifting and speed training very serious A big factor to help me get faster and more agile is track and field. I plan on doing shot put and disc, but also working on my speed in practices, because naturally, practices will consist of a lot of running. During this off season I will still be in the weight room.
I am a person who doesn't need to be told to work hard, because I am always working hard, and I take criticism to heart and improve myself off of the criticism. I am beginning to see all of the work I have put in during these years, ever since I started working out and practicing in 5th grade paying off for me in the weight room, on the field, and in the classroom, but I fully understand there is much work ahead of me and I will never truly be done improving myself.
