When I decided to finally talk to my parents about what had been on my heart for a few years, I was terrified! I wanted to transfer to a private school... it was my sophomore year and I had come to this crossroad in my life. So I rustled up the courage to talk to my mom, she is always my "go to." After much "consideration and prayer", she says, my parents put the house on the market and began the search for a school that I was a fit for. After several weeks of searching our decision was made. Oh, but it was not without backlash!! You see, I wasn't quite finished at the school I was currently attending and boy were my coaches angry with me when they heard of the transfer!!
Fast forward to my junior year, new school and new beginnings! We were affectionately referred to as the "bad news bears" . We had a slow start but was rounding out the end of the regular season strong and even qualifying for post season play....Until that one day in practice . That was it! I was injured! I had so many thoughts going through my head. I eventually was able to be at peace with how my first year/season at JPII had ended.
I resolved it by focusing on the upcoming season and knowing that God does not make any mistakes!!!
