I come from a large family where I have 5 other siblings. Since I can remember, I have always been taught to be dependable, to work together as a team, and to think of others. I was also taught to work hard for what I want in life.
I started playing basketball at the age of 4 with my older brothers, and over time I developed a passion for the competitive sport. My height and size has enabled me to be an asset to my team because I have a strong offense and defense that set me apart. I am a team leader and player and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I respect my coaches and strive to do my best.
It's my goal to attend a college where I can gain an education to pursue a career that will allow me to have a successful future. I would love the opportunity to play college basketball so that I can continue to use the abilities and talents God has given me. Basketball is part of who I am and it's always been a dream to play on the college level. It would also allow me to be part of something bigger than myself. The Bible says in Colossians 3:23 to do everything with all your heart as if you are doing it for the Lord, and that's what I strive to do. I look forward to this next school year and the opportunity to play on the college level, partnering with new team mates, as well learning and growing more as a person and athlete.
