Tate is known as being a silent leader. Though he is a quiet child he naturally leads his friends and those around him through his positive and inclusive behaviors.
Given that Tate was gifted with his height, in 7th grade he was pushed to engage in basketball. He made the team and then found himself on a club team. Since then he has played Club basketball year round, and has played on the school team each year. Both as a freshman and sophomore he made the Varsity team. Through this experience, Tate has gained confidence and skills in leadership and sportsmanship, which has contributed to his development as a solid citizen. Tate's coaches most common report of him is that he is "coachable".
In addition to basketball, Tate loves all things outdoors. He loves camping, hiking and fishing.
He would like to continue his personal, academic and emotional growth through playing college basketball.
