My name is Jovelle Louis Bennett jr. and I am a student athlete that wants to play at the next level as well as further my education.I know that my GPA is 2.5 overall, but these last couple of years it has been at a 3.3 and higher. I am currently at a 3.3 GPA and I am trying my best to raise my GPA. I may not be the best athlete but I am a leader and I have heart. What separates me from everyone else? I have a chip on my shoulder and I play with a certain intensity that is not matched in high school. Games aren't a guaranteed win, so regardless the wins and the losses as a player I reflect and learn and think about what I could've done better and use the loss as adversity and overcome it. Of course like any other player in the game I show emotion but I haven't reached my full potential yet.
One of the biggest obstacles I have had to overcome is my parents divorce and having to grow up faster than usual. I don't tend to live in the past, I live in the present . I think about what will happen in the future from all of my decisions and it all translates to the court. For playing big my whole life I have great court vision and high IQ of the game. One of my goals in high school is to graduate with a 3.0 or higher. I set high goals for myself because I know i'm able to push myself and achieve everything I put my mind to. Another goal for me is to make it to college and play basketball at the next level along with teammates who will support me on the court and off the court, while using my full potential and to further my education and get a degree in business or architectural engineering.
