- BARRY UNIVERSITY ELITE CAMP PLAYER EVALUATION John, Thank you for attending our Virtual Elite Camp. We have viewed your film as a staff and completed your evaluation collectively. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Barry Men’s Basketball. Your size and frame give a good target for entry passes and you do a nice job keeping the ball high and getting into your finish quickly. We also liked to see how you ran the floor to try and get easy baskets for your team early in the possession. At the college level, mobile bigs are essential due to the tempo of the game and the speed of the players. You also showed an understanding in the pick and roll game with the ability to catch and finish in traffic on the move. All of these abilities that you already possess are a great framework for you to continue to build upon. We would continue to challenge you to work on your foot speed and quickness for the defensive end in college. Oftentimes bigs are asked to switch onto smaller guards and being able to guard them for a period of time is essential. We look forward to hearing how you progress over the next few years! Keep working and good luck!
