I have the privilege of growing up in a small town and attending a small high school, this has allowed me to appreciate the closeness of family and respecting my teammates and coaches on and off the court. I have had the opportunity of playing for different coaches growing up, participating in a summer league, and attending camps in the summer to improve my skills. I realized the importance of having a positive mindset/attitude, being a team player, hustling and working hard every day. There are lessons in every game and practice; win or lose, you can never be satisfied and you can always want more. Basketball has always been more than just a sport to me. It's another way for me to grow as an individual in many different ways: physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Academics always come first, because I have always been taught that I am a student-athlete. I hope to fulfill my dreams in playing college basketball and having the opportunity to earn a college degree. I feel confident in knowing I can adapt to new environments, I am willing to learn and grow in a collegiate setting and pursue my dream of playing professional basketball.
