Shamar Cook '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shamar Cook and thank you for taking the time out of busy day to view my page.  I love the game of basketball.  I have been playing basketball competitively since I was in the second grade.  My dad always had me play a grade older than the grade I was in because of my athleticisms.  My goal is to play division 1 college basketball.  My desire is to grow as a person and as an athlete.   I am truly a student of the game and I'm passionate in wanting to develop the skills to become a leader on and off the court.  I'm not afraid of hard work and I look forward to the challenge of continuing by basketball career at the college level.  Playing professional basketball is my goal, but if that dream doesn't happen.  I plan on following in my father's business of being a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.  My dad is currently a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch.  I am working on hard everyday to improve myself both athletically and in the class room.  Thank you for reading my statement.
