For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for all sports - soccer, baseball, flag football, track and field, volleyball…..you name it. But basketball is my strongest passion. That passion was passed down from my dad and I love all aspects of the sport. My dad and I watch current games - NBA, collegiate, and high school - to critique and learn so that my game continues to evolve. We also love to binge on Hardwood Classics and I feel my style of play is similar to point guards like John Stockton or Jason Kidd. While point guard is a natural fit for me, some coaches like to experiment with me at the 4 or 5 due to my height and versatility.
My goal is to work hard to have basketball take me as far in life as it possibly can. My dream is to play D1 basketball and possibly set myself up for a pro career. But I also want to select a school that supports my academic goals to ensure a successful career after basketball.
My biggest strengths on the court are my basketball IQ and leadership ability that I get from playing point guard, which I take a lot of pride in. Those skills also transition to my position as the starting quarterback, challenging me to read the field and make pivotal decisions as the team leader. I love the feeling of being the leader on the court that everyone listens to and being able to impact a game by simply making my teammates better. While I love making my teammates better, I also enjoy filling the stat sheets and one of my goals this year is to get my first triple double in a high school game.
