Hello College Coaches,
My name is Jermaine Rogers II. I am attending Ruben S. Ayala High School as a Senior (Class of 2022). To share a little bit about myself, I am a well-rounded young man that does well academically and physically. My current GPA is a 4.0. I am a two sport athlete that plays basketball and track & field. My passion is playing basketball. I have been playing basketball for over 12 years now. I play the positions as a shooting guard, point guard, and small forward averaging 20+ points per game, 5+ assist, 5+ rebounds, and 2 or more blocks. I have been playing varsity basketball as a starter since 9th grade at Ruben S. Ayala High School. I am also on one of the best AAU Basketball Teams in the Nation, West Coast Elite, 17u National Under Armour Team where I am able to travel and compete against the top players in the country. My AAU president is Ryan Silver and coach Scott Martin does a fantastic job in getting their players ready for the next level.
One thing that I can tell you is that I will most definitely give my all to your program and will do whatever it takes for the program to succeed. I have a winner’s mentality and will go the extra mile to get the job done. I am a great team player and I put the team first. Like the saying, “There is NO “I” IN TEAM”.
My parents always express the importance of achieving my goals and thriving for the best and I believe that I can do that under your program and leadership.
What I could bring to the team:
I am a talented scorer and find ways to create my own shot whether it’s around the cup, mid-range or three-point range. I am a work horse. I rebound and push the ball up the floor for fast break buckets and quick transition points. I am a willing passer and I get my teammates involved within the flow of the offense. I am a good defender. I play really good defense and force turnovers to provide opportunities for my team get quick transition points or set-up into the flow of the offense. Leadership. I am a person who leads by example by working hard in practice and towards my academics. I will represent your program in the best possible way I can and influence my teammates as well. I am a great person. I do community service around my community and do whatever I can to help others in need. I feel as though if you have that mindset, the team will be on the right track to succeed. I hope this personal statement finds you well interested in a talented junior named Jermaine Rogers II, (6’3” SG|PG).
Here are my game highlights that I hope will find you well. I really hope that you are able to take a look at my highlights/accomplishments and see what I can bring and possibly fit within your program. Any feedback or critiques you have would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to become a great person on and off the court that can earn a scholarship to further my education and career playing basketball.
Thank you,
Jermaine Rogers II
