Personal Statement

This year, my Senior year, has made me really understand what hard work, dedication and team work can accomplish. Last summer, even as I practiced and played on my schools soccer team, I practiced my basketball everyday. Late at night, on the courts at school by myself. I had a goal to be better than I even I thought possible. I achieved that goal, and even went above and beyond my expectations of 500 points this season. I scored 600. I was voted S.A.L. MVP,  Team MVP and All League First Team.  I was voted the coaches award at our local Senior Showcase which showcased senior players from DV-DI schools in our area. I have now been invited to play an exhibition game at Columbia College this month and have been selected as one of only 24 players to participate in the Six Counties Tournament in May, the best of the best. I know that I can be better. I know that if I continue working hard, that work will take me to levels I never thought I could achieve. I know now that all things are possible if we have the heart and the drive to work for them.  I have faith that someone will take a look at me and believe that I will be an asset to their program. That I am what their team is looking for and someone who can have an impact on their program.  I hope I will be able to continue my dream of playing at the college level. I know what I can contribute. I have not let myself down. I never give up. And whatever team I do have the chance to play for, I will not let them down. I work hard to keep my grades up. I am not a genius, but I know that I am a dedicated student. I just want the chance to go to school. Get my college degree, and hopefully play some ball at the same time.  I have been in leadership at my school. Participated in school activities, been in the homecoming court and hopefully been someone my school mates can look up to as a good role model.  You can play sports and be a good student academically,. I want to continue that in College.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
