Hello Coaches,

My name is Jalen Flenory from Sacramento, CA. I have big dreams of playing college basketball and earning a scholarship. What makes me a good candidate for any team is my leadership, energy, and effort. I bring a great attitude and is someone that will work on his craft everyday. What make me different from other recruits is my character. I don’t care about scoring a lot of points or doing all of the flashy plays. I mainly focus on my teammate’s successes, winning basketball games, and playing every games as though it’s my last.  I will always go above and beyond for my teammates and be someone everyone can count on. I play 94 feet of defense and have high basketball IQ. I can read things 2 plays ahead and see when others switches defense. I bring speed and finishing ability to the offensive end. While playing scrappy defense I cause turnovers and recover loose balls. I can provide scoring from anywhere on the court. I‘m able find the open player, setup the offense, thereby, making my teammate’s jobs easier on the court. I am a leader and a secondary coach on the court. I am everything a coach can ask for and someone to count on. Any coaches will see that I give 110% on the court and off the court.

With an eye on a 2023-2024 State Championship and All-League recognition this year, Ja'len's court vision and strategic prowess as a natural floor general underscore his exceptional basketball IQ. Notably, at Cosumnes Oaks High School, he emerged as a co-captain during sophomore year, setting a new single-game assist record with 11 assists. Continuously displaying leadership qualities, Ja'len served as captain last season and continues in that role this year, epitomizing his commitment to team success and excellence on the court. His dedication, skill, and leadership make him a formidable force in high school basketball, poised for continued success at the highest levels.
