While being part of the West Coast Elite team as a freshman, the Cali Rebels Elite team as a sophomore, and being named MVP of the Edison Showcase are some highlights of my basketball career so far, I am equally proud of being named MVP of my varsity high school team and making team number One in All League during my junior year oh high school.
I think I knew I loved the sport of basketball one night when I was shooting with my dad in the park as a child, and it started to rain hard, but I still kept shooting for hours in the downpour. Nothing makes me happier than playing basketball.
I have always been the tallest in my class, so have mostly played center, but have expanded into a power forward as well. What I've noticed differentiates me from most players is I am more level-headed and always a team player. I never get angry from anything that happens on the court, and being calm helps me adapt quickly to every situation. You will always find me setting a screen or making the assist with a great pass versus trying to make every shot myself.
I am told from many coaches and trainers that what they love about me is I always listen. I adapt quickly to what I hear and see as the situations changes. I am always eager to learn more and hope to find a college team with players and coaches better than me so I can learn more and grow constantly.
I am an only child, but each teammate I've had has felt like a brother, a family working together on the court towards a common goal. I am excited for my future playing on a college team!
