AUSTIN CARTER '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach,

              My name is Austin Carter. I attend Sonora High School in La Habra, California.  I have played on varsity since my sophomore year.  I am presently a junior starting at power forward and backup center. To describe my game: I take pride in working hard, playing tight defense, pushing to improve my game and motivating the team for greater performance.  I am ambidextrous, like to post and work on the inside but I also can penetrate to the basket, as well as shoot the occasional 3 point shot. I believe that every rebound should be mine and protecting the basket is my personal goal to help my team. This will set the bar for my team to outperform our opponent.

         I strive to lead by example to be under control on and off the court. Work hard in the classroom, in practice and during the game. My philosophy is all or none, either I am going to give 100% or I don’t participate. I believe that is one of the ingredients of success.

         I presently hold a 3.8 GPA, striving to get it to a 4.0 GPA. Academics are very important to me. My major is business administration/management. If I am considered for your team I will bring the same work ethics with me.
