Hello Coach,

My name is Matthew Heller, class of 2022, attending Whittier Christian High school. I

am writing this letter to inform you of my interest of playing basketball at the collegiate level.

Position: Guard

Stats: 15ppg, 7rpg, 2spg

Measurements: 6’4 210lb.

Accomplishments: 1st team All-League (Olympic League)x2, Team MVPx2, Ontario Christian All-

Tournament team,  Los Altos All-Tournament Team 

I am an aspiring basketball player who works tirelessly on his craft on a day to day

basis. I am a very goal oriented and driven player, with a high level of coach-ability, as I will do

whatever it takes to achieve my goals. One of the things I try to focus on, both in games and

within the practice setting, is to respect my coaches and learn from them as much as I can.

While high school basketball has positively challenged my basketball I.Q. and has challenged

my skill set, I hope to continue to learn and grow under the mentorship and guidance of a

college coaching staff. Finally, I see myself as a competitive, hardworking player, who will

always give 110% effort in practice and in games. This part of me not only allows me to be

successful on the floor, but pushes my teammates to become better as well.
