Sergio Delano '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated and passionate student-athlete, and I have been on a rigorous academic and highly competitive athletic path since I was four years old. My parents always taught me that academics come first, and I was surrounded by great opportunities to learn, and with lots of books at a very young age. I was reading before preschool, and attended a highly gifted school before high school, where I take Honors and AP classes.I have been on the Honor Roll for every semester of my high school career. I like to volunteer and think of ways to help those in need.

 My parents also ensured that my natural athleticism was nurtured, and I joined my first basketball team at the age of four. Since then, I have trained with elite coaches and programs, and have been consistently acknowledged for my exceptional shooting skills and basketball IQ. I work hard and am extremely dedicated. I have played on the Varsity teams for all four years of my high school career. As a freshman, I was on the varsity team of a nationally ranked team.  I made All-League.  I also made 11 three-pointers in a game, as well as 10 three-pointers in another game. I also has 6 steals in a game.  I consistently score high double digits.  I can shoot from anywhere on the court, and I am a highly effective defender. 

 I train at 6:00AM for two (sometimes more) hours before my first class. I am determined and focused on playing basketball in college, and at the next level after college. I am a high-scoring point guard with excellent court vision, making precision passes to my teammates.  I have experience in making clutch points to win championships. I am looking forward to playing basketball at the college level (and then professionally), and helping to lead my college team to success as I continue to work hard and be dedicated to the game that I love so much - basketball. 

I am excited to decide on my college and new basketball team, and to get started building something great with my new coaches and teammates!
