Hello, my name is Isaiah Gilbert and I want to be a college basketball player because I have developed so much passion and love for the game over the 8 years I have played basketball. I strive to be the best athlete I can be to put myself in the best position possible to take my game to the next level. I practice everyday not only on the court, but off the court as well to be an all around athlete. What makes me different from other athletes is I will give my all from start to finish guarantee. I will do whatever I can to put my team in the best possible position to win! I will not stop playing until that buzzer sounds. I'm dedicated to push myself everyday I step on the court. You will never ever see me give up. I promise you if you give me an opportunity I will not let you down!
I will be a valuable asset for you team because I can bring so much to the table like leadership, accountability, and communication. I can do whatever you need me to do to make the team better. As much as Basketball is important to me, grades are just as if not more important. I always make sure my grades are at or higher than a 3.75 GPA because education is an important key in life to me. I can help fellow classmates or teammates with classwork if they need help because I want not only me, but everybody apart of the team to be successful on and off the court. Outside of sports and school I am a laid back/fun guy to hang out with, and always helping people with assistance. I listen to people very well because I want to be engaged in the conversation to show I am actually listening. I know that basketball has a lot to do with what you eat and do off the court. That's why I have turned vegan because It made my body develop in a significant way. It changed the way aspect of my game and brought it game to another level. My conditioning is great I can play the whole game if need be, without being tired!
I set high goals for myself because I know if I push myself everyday I can accomplish every single goal I have for myself. What's really important to me is to find the right fit for me, I want to know that I will not regret my decision to any college I commit to. My ultimate goal is to play in the NBA one day. Anybody who knows me knows that I am in love with the game of basketball. It doesn't matter to me what division I play in college. I just want an opportunity to showcase my skills to the world. I am open for any college that is willing to take me in and develop my game and make me a better player. As I said earlier education is very important to be, I want to know that the college I am going to is going to make a better student, athlete, and person in the world!
