Sherman Simpson '13 Recruiting Profile

Since my freshman year at Blair high school I knew I wanted to become a basketball player. My first year playing varsity which was my freshman year I was timid about playing varsity but my coach, Shawn Bankhead, pushed me to play my heart out. i didn't start but when i did get in i did all of the dirty work like hustling for loose balls, grabbing the offensive board, and fighting for every missed shot. My sophmore year we lost our center and I decided it was time for me to step up and take the initiative to become a leader. I was leading in rebounds and blocked shots. I also had some exciting games where I was mentioned in articles such as Pasadena Star News and a few others. At the end of the season I recieved most improved player. Now it my junior year and i still intend on on working hard and playing everygame like it is my last. After high school I plan on attending California Berkely because of after doing some research I found out that they offer a excellent engineering program, which is one of my majors. My major is engineer designing, and my minor is film production. Also i would like to attend California Berkely because I want to attend a larger schoool. I haven't done any real research on where I want to play college basketball yet but if I had the option to choose where I want to play I would choose USC. I love their style of play and it would give me the opprotunity to earn my spot on the team.
