During my high school period I was faced with a difficult obstacle in my basketball journey which was getting a major sports injury. Unfortunately during basketball season I was in a lot of pain to the point that I could not walk, turns out I had a herniated disk. This injury happened in my sophomore year right at the start of the season.
I had to get surgery and the time to recover was a total of 6 months that meant I was not allowed to play sports.
During my time of recovery I decided to stay positive and prove to myself that I was stronger and I can overcome anything. I started physical therapy and did all the resting I needed to do I had a lot of patience and mentally prepared myself with what was about to come.
My goal in life is still to play basketball even with another injury. Because I don't want to quit the game that I love and wonder what could have been if I didn't quit when I'm older. I want to chase my dream until I cant chase it no more .
What makes me a good candidate for your team is my determination to not back down from anything or anyone. My work ethic is their anytime time you need me to practice, I'm there be at 4am to 12am. Also my knowledge for the game has improved greatly at my short time in Scotland Campus.
I'm different from other recruits because I am mentally stronger and physically tougher and I played multiple sports. I know what it's like to be away from home and how to handle hard injuries or not be a starter on the team. I can handle when a coach yells at my face and how to take tough criticism. I won't give up when things go bad because I'll keep on pushing and keep on moving. I learn how to adapt to any situation and always keep my head up.
