Blake Hudson '23 Recruiting Profile

• Blake Hudson - Play Style - a consistent driver relentless in his attack. Fast a strong point guard was a key contributor to a St. Mary's team that made it to the 2020 DIII state title game. He shows good patience, quality ball handling skills, and good leadership running the point guard position. He's an excellent passer. His speed and strength allow him to get into the interior of the defense.   Hudson uses a smooth handle and good lateral moves to attack angles and get by his defender.  Does a good job recognizing where the help is coming from on his drives allowing him to finish at the rim with impressive uncontested layups.  More of a combo than pure 1 right now.  Working on improving his outside shooting to develop into a nice PG prospect. Defensively, he has long arms and does a good job jumping passing lanes.  He's a tenacious on ball defender, sliding his feet and tuning his defender. Leads team and league in steals.
