Personal Statement

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful,"  is a quote by Eric Thomas.   This has become my mantra. Coming to the game of basketball was initiated by a childhood friend who had seen me play almost every sport, his wanting me to play on his club team, and by others, including coaches, saying, "You're a natural born athlete;" so it wasn't until the end of junior high, that I started yet another sport - BASKETBALL.  I never took "no" as an answer, but rather a challenge; even when I was 3 going on 4, the public golf club didn't want someone my age taking group lessons, but once they saw me, they saw determination and raw talent. Athletic, naturally born or not, I work everyday to become the best, and with the support of my family, friends, trainers, coaches, my drive, work ethic, and God's Will, I know I will have the ability to become the greatest. 2nd is not 1st for me.  I am smart enough to know someone is around the corner, and their hunger can be just as great.  This carries over to my academics.  Believing in myself is not enough, opportunity must be there, and studies are extremely important.  Communications in the broadcasting field is my selected major with Sports Management.  Within this field is an outlet to express love of sports, educating others, and being a positive inspiration.  To have the ability to play, and have a long career, can transcend into a very knowledgeable commentator.  These are my goals, my desires, and with your consideration I know this is more than a possibility, it's the opportunity!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
