My goal in life has always been to play basketball at the college level. I've been working towards that goal ever since I was a little kid. I have been a student of the sport of basketball because deep down, it's my passion. I would be a good candidate for any basketball team because I'm not a one-dimensional player. I not only have a three point shot but I continuously defend, assist, steal and block. I am the complete team player. I believe in the John Wooden quote, "It takes ten hands to make a basket." Each member of the team plays an important role. The team contributes to their success not just one individual player. I would sacrifice my glory for the team's goals. I go above and beyond practices and training. When injured this summer with a torn calf muscle, instead of sitting around and just letting it rest, I decided to push through it. I went to every practice and game to support my team. I worked with a physical therapist two or three times a week to help me rehabilitate and keep up with my upper body strength and cardio. I came back stronger than ever. Academically, I have always put in a lot of effort to get the grades that I earn. I have determination and I'm not afraid to work hard for something that I strive to accomplish. If given a challenge with basketball or academics, I'd fight it head on, until I overcame it. I am honest, competitive by nature and a leader who guides others in a manner where they feel valued on and off the court.
