Basketball has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been around basketball whether it was watching it on tv, watching family play, or simply playing the game. Good assets that I have are that I am coach-able , hardworking, and can be a great leader/role model.
The competitiveness in me really made me closer to the game. I don’t like losing so I work hard everyday. Not only on the court but in the class too. I make sure my assignments are turned in on time and I always challenge myself to study harder in class and to learn as much as I can in my subject to keep a good gpa.
I have played varsity since I was a freshman and through my teammates above me I’ve learned the many ways to be a great leader and a great team player. We’ve made it to the playoffs three years in a row. Two of which my school has made it to the state semifinals. So I’ve learned that it takes hard work and discipline to have a successful season. When I’m not playing basketball for the school, I play aau. We play lots of tournaments over the summer. My best asset though is knowing how to play the different positions and roles to the team. Knowing the different positions helps me understand what my teammates will do better.
I want a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options but i ultimately want a place that I can study kinesiology.
