As I come to the end of my senior year, I am making great strides in my development as a student athlete on an individual level and as a team player as well. I have always been interested and participated in different sports throughout my life, such as swim and tennis, but basketball is my passion. I have been playing for over 7 years. I've played for both school and different club teams throughout my basketball career. I have had to overcome a major injury that occurred before the beginning of my sophmore season, which challenged me both physically and mentally as an athlete. My passion for the sport of basketball has only grown since then, and with great determination and hard work my rehab has been successful. I make sure my presence is known on the court, and challenge myself each game by setting goals that I strive for. I know that I will continue to achieve success in basketball as a player and teammate in college.
I focus on my academics with the same intensity that I bring to my game on the court. I have held a 3.0 or higher GPA throughout my acedemic career, and was in the GATE program through elementary school. I have continued to challenge myself by taking Honors Chemistry, AP Biology, Kinesiology, and Auto Tech Class. I have always had an interest in STEM classes, and would like to continue in college with a major in Mechanical Engineering. I am very detail oriented, which I believe translates well on the court. I am a strong technical player, and know that I can be an asset to my college team.
