My love for the game of basketball began in the 8th grade. Although I knew my late start would have me behind many other athletes in the game, it made me work that much harder to be the best player I could be. Throughout my basketball career I have experienced a variety of mental and physical adversities; however, I did not allow these obstacles to stop me from playing the sport I love and allowed these challenges to shape me and give me the competitive edge to face anything I may encounter. In regards to the game as a whole, I have been and always will be a team first player, valuing team ball over individual. The winning aspect of the game is what’s most important to me, and that comes from my competitive nature. As a player, I will do anything to help my team win; whether that’s guarding bigger players, setting screens, taking charge, or even encouraging my teammates from the bench. I look forward to elevating my level of play and the love of basketball at the collegiate level. The grind never stops!
