Dear College Coaches,
I love the game of basketball, and I am excited about my next chapter of college basketball. I am 100% focused on earning my degree, improving my abilities every day, and helping my teammates win a championship.
As you read this, I am a Redshirt Sophomore with hopes to transfer in the Fall of 2024 to utilize my 3 remaining years of eligibility. I know transfer players sometimes come with concerns, but I want you to know that I am confident that I am transferring for all the right reasons.
I was recruited to Carthage College from Colorado, but I did not realize when I committed that I was 1 of 13 freshmen being added to a roster that already had a heavy Sophomore/Junior Class roster. Now in my Sophomore year, another 8 Freshmen and a D1 transfer were added to the team. Coach Djurickovic was very honest with me this fall that he believes in my ability, and that I deserve the opportunity to play, but he could not guarantee that I would get those opportunities this season. He encouraged me to follow my heart and pursue other opportunities if I chose to. I was thankful for his honesty and support to find the right fit to finish my career. Coach Djurickovic also encouraged me to have college coaches who were interested in me to call him directly any time.
I look forward to speaking with you and your staff about my potential fit for your 2024-2025 season. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Tyler Klopfenstein
