I grew up the shortest male in the family, always compared to my 6'3" brother and 6'4" father. It was brought to my attention that basketball may not be the sport for me due to my height. I never let any of these detour me from the sport I love. I've always been an outgoing kid, never shy. One of my first memories of basketball is I walked in to tryouts and told the head coach "I'm going to be your point guard one day." I've had some positive role models in my life. One of them being my Grandfather who is a 100% disabled veteran all of his adult life. He never let those obstacles determine his fate and I will not let my obstacles determine mine. One of my hardest obstacles I continue to work on daily is my dyslexia. Despite being Dyslexic I continued to achieve a 3.6 GPA. I recently received a few awards one being Academic All State 1st Team, Principal's List for excellent academic performance 2nd Semester and 1st Semester I also made the Deans List for Academic Excellence all while playing for two basketball teams and was apart of the ROTC my 1st semester of high school. I am a hard worker and will continue to do so to achieve my goals.
