Jack Tomlinson '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Jack Tomlinson. I am currently attending Rock Canyon High School and will graduate in 2027. 

From the moment I started playing basketball at the age of 7, I knew I had found my passion. But my journey isn’t just about mastering the game; it‘a about becoming a well-rounded individual both on and off the court. Growing up, I didn’t limit myself to just basketball. I played various team sports and individual sports, learning valuable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These experiences shaped me into a versatile athlete who could adapt to different situations.

I have always had great awareness on the court. I read plays, anticipate opponents’ moves, and create opportunities for my team. My court vision allows me to see beyond the obvious, finding passing lanes and openings that others might miss.  

Being a team player isn’t just about scoring points; it’s about lifting others up. As a leader, I lead by example—encouraging my teammates, pushing them to give their best, and fostering a positive environment.  I show my leadership by never giving up on a play, diving for loose balls, and I’m not afraid to take charges.

Off the court, I maintain a high GPA and excel in honors classes. Balancing academics and athletics has taught me time management, discipline, and resilience. I believe that success in one area fuels success in the other.

Choosing a college isn’t just about basketball—it’s about finding the right fit. I seek a program that values character, academics, and community. A place where I can contribute both athletically and intellectually, surrounded by like-minded individuals who share my passion.
