I’m a very hard worker. In my freshman year, I was overweight and unskilled. That summer, I got in shape and lost weight. I also joined the cross-country team to improve my stamina. After all of that work, I broke my foot in my first game of my sophomore season, ending my season. This did not stop me; it just motivated me even more. I started to lift weights and work on improving my basketball skills. From this, I went from the last man on the bench to varsity starter. I was a solid star, averaging about 5 points and 7 rebounds. After the season, I went directly right back to the gym, spending hours on end daily training my body and studying film. I went to numerous camps for exposure to coaches and better competition. Now in my senior season, I averaged over 20 points, having multiple 30-point games. I’ve been awarded Gametime CT Player of the Week and Capital Region Athletic League First Team All-Local while leading my team to its first playoff birth in two years! Hard work pays off. My goal is to play College basketball at a high level, with dedicated teammates .
