My name is Dominick Nuzzo, I am a Junior at Berlin High School. I would be a good candidate to play college basketball because I am a hard worker, committed, and I can take constructive criticism when it is given. The reason why I would like to go to better my education and prepare for my future. I'm also very interested in playing College Basketball. I am interested in majoring in the medical field. The reason as to why I would like to major in something like this is because I like to help and assist people with things they need. In school I am trying to improve my grades every chance I get. Everyday I am working to improve my game. On my spare time I watch movies, go out to eat, and hang out with my friends. During basketball season I focus on basketball, family and school. I went from playing soccer in 6th grade to playing basketball full time in 7th. The transition in sports was not to difficult because I was able to pick up the foot work easier due to my past. When I had finally arrived to high school I saw the competition ahead of me and new i had to improve my game in order to compete. My Freshmen year I played Junior Varsity and got time in for Varsity. This year I have improved to starting Varsity and continue to get better. I pride myself on defense, I either stop the ball on transition or get blocks when they are in sight. In the beginning of this year I was ranked number 5 in the state for blocked shots and worked my way throughout the season to achieve 2nd in the state. I am 75% from the Free Throw Line, I take every open opportunity I get to attack to the basket and score or I'll go to the Free Throw Line and finish there. I have attended many basketball camps such as Hoop Mountain, Nike Basketball Camp, and I have been invited to the 75 Elite New England Sophomores camp. I am continue to improve on and off the court everyday. I have done community service for the Boys and Girls Club in Meriden, CT. I want to go to college to play basketball because it is the sport I love to play and I want to show my family that Iwas able to accomplish something great.
