Cristian McElveen '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently enrolled at Chipola College in Marianna, FL. I graduated from DeMatha High School in 2023, and I took a Post-Grad year at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. My experience at DeMatha was amazing and being able to train, practice with, or hoop against the country's best players in the WCAC conference has been exciting and pushes me to want more. I can play either guard spot and don't have a problem matching up with small forwards. I thrive in transition where I can finish at the rim or pull up into a middy to avoid an offensive charge. I've worked on being able to drive left or right off the dribble, catch and shoot 3's efficiently, and two-foot finishes at the rim to produce more power when bigs are defending the basket. I will learn all of the plays and know what every position is supposed to do. I am a team player and will do whatever is necessary to win each game...which isn't always just about scoring the ball.
