I started playing basketball in a pee wee league at our local boys and girls club when I was six. I played there for two years. At first it was something I did for fun. As I got older my interest in basketball changed. My father saw how well I was developing as an athlete. He signed me up with a local SmallFry Team (The Network). I played with them for four years and we traveled to nationals every year. Shortly thereafter, I started with the AAU circuit. I realized then I had developed a passion for basketball and I wanted to pursue it as a career. I currently play for my high school at the varsity level as well with an AAU team.
I have learned the importance of having a strong work ethic as well as the importance of discipline in the class and on the court from my parents. Through the loss of some very important people I have learned to appreciate life and also, how meaningful it is to value family and friends.
Now to some of my skills. As a student I participate in class discussions, I get along well with my peers, I am highly organized, and I am learning the art of time management. I understand the importance of working hard and being a student scholar first. As a Basketball player I am a combo guard. I can shoot at any angle with both hands and have good court vision. I play team ball, can handle pressure and critique. My future goals are to attend a Division I school whether small or large and major in a Sports Medicine related field.
