Winning the Oregon State Championship in 7th grade was a great accomplishment for me as a middle schooler. I celebrated for some time but then after a while I realized that winning was just a small step to the bigger goal which is college basketball. I focused on my goals and how I could accomplish them and came up with 2 secondary goals: 1) Win a High School State Championship and 2) Be the captain of that team. This leads me to my primary goal: PLAY COLLEGE BASKETBALL.
I have continued to work hard and strive to reach my goals, while self-assessing along the way. Goal setting has kept me hungry, and knowing this is my journey will make achieving all my goals so much more worthwhile. Many of these goals are for on the court, in the classroom, or at home. But all of them will lead me to what I want in life.
