Amarion Pettis '21 Recruiting Profile

My Names is A'marion Pettis, I began playing basketball at the age of 5. I've played competitively since age 7 and developed a competitive mentality that has given me an edge over my peers on and off the court. Due to my dad being in the military I've had the opportunity to play for multiple AAU teams and coaches. While playing for these different organizations, I've had the opportunity to show case my talents in major tournaments against some of the toughest competition around the world. Over the past 12 years I've developed my game to where my coaches can play me at any of the 5 positions on the floor although I mainly play the guard position. With that being said, I read the floor very well on both the offensive and defensive ends, have a very good shot selection and my ability to play all positions gives me that edge on the court.

My schooling is my top priority of me being a student athlete, I’ve maintained a GPA of a 3.3 or higher. In the years of my schooling I have taken rigorous courses as, English honors, Math honors, and Science.  My goals for school are to get my bachelors, doctorates degree to become a dentist.  For me I believe my performance in the classroom and maintaining a high GPA is just as important as being an outstanding basketball player.  With that being said I’m a student athlete that possess the drive and tools any student athlete will require to be successful in the classroom and on the court.
