Colton Sembower '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches,

I'm Colton Sembower, a deep shooting and disruptive defending/rebounding 6'4" SG in the class of 2027. 

As a freshman, I was blessed to be named a CP3 Rising Star and Crossroads Elite All-Star on the national level, and 1st Team All-State in Florida SIAA Sunshine.

On the Nike circuit in 2023, I led Georgia Stars 2027 in scoring, rebounding, blocks and made 3's on our way to a #6 finish nationally in the MADE Hoops circuit. 

On high school varsity in 2023-24, I led The Rock School as a freshman in scoring, rebounding, and made 3's on our way to a #2 finish in the state for SIAA Sunshine.

In the 2024 AAU season, I won the New Balance (Prelude 32) National Championship with OBG Elite out of Orlando, where I bring elite shooting, playmaking, finishing, rebounding, on-ball and help defense to one of the best teams in the country. 

Off the court, I carry a 4.86 GPA in pre International Baccalaureate and contribute to service projects for my school and community.

About My Game

I am a "big guard" who defends 1 through 5 with length (6'7" wingspan) and college ready strength. I take pride in being disruptive defensively and outrebounding bigs from my guard position.  

Offensively, scouting services have called me "easily one of the best shooters in the country" as I shoot 42% 3PT with range out to 27 feet. 

I also get to the rim relentlessly, create for others, finish above the rim, and live at the free throw line.

I project to be 6'6" to 6'7" once I reach college. This will enable me to play SG and SF at any level, with the muscle to switch onto PFs and Cs when needed.

Why I fit an analytics based program: 

  • 42% 3PT, including contested and NBA range

  • Attacker with high free throw rate, hits 80% FT

  • Creates more possessions than used through rebounding, deflections, steals

  • Closes out everything, dropping opposing team’s FG% when on the floor
