Jovon Hall '21 Recruiting Profile

As I write my personal statement, I ask myself “how do I let them in to see the player that I am in a few words”? I’ve been playing basketball since the age of 4 years old on a biddy ball team. Ever since that day basketball has been my passion and dream for me to play each and every day. I’ve played with many AAU Travel Teams as well as in middle school and high school. Amongst other sports like football and baseball it has been my number one choice. I always told my parents that I aspire to play on the collegiate basketball level and dream of one day being in the NBA. I know I have to continue to work hard and excel on that court while working to improve my skills and talents every single day. I have always been a leader and have been in a captain’s position in each sport I’ve played. I am a team leader and a motivational player to my teammates and myself first hand. I am a coachable athlete who is willing to learn more and focus on daily improvement. Although in the midst of a pandemic, I still have the opportunity to work out with my coach to work on strength, speed and shooting format. My work ethic is very strong and outgoing. However at the end of the day, I try my best to have fun and a positive attitude within my sport.

I want to attend a college of my choice to ensure that my education takes a first priority. My primary goal is to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education to include Sports Management and/or Business Administration. This is my career goal outside of basketball so that I am able to help people from a business aspect of the sport and better lives within this accomplishment.

However, I know that I am willing to play with any school who will give me the opportunity to showcase my talent, skills and ability to play on that next level. I know I will have to push myself in that classroom harder than I have ever done before to ensure my placement. I am open to all matches and the highest level of competition allowed to me.
