MY name is Kelvin Rumph. I was born on Dec. 4th 1992. In Miami Florida, into a family of three. Which consist of my mother, sister, and my stepfather. I never really had a father and son bond with my birth father, but that is not going to stop me. I am striving to be better then him. What's special about me? I have a nice personality, funny, outgoing, laded back , also can be entertaining, easy to get along with, have the love for money, and I am athletic(Height;5'8,weight;155,40 time;4.85). My interest of being an entrepreneur and sports goes back to my elementary days. When siblings and friends use to tell me I love handling money, also always trying to sell thing and I have a unique gift called athleticism that God gave me. Playing sports and being coached also gave me a sense of discipline in my childhood days. I became interested in sports management when I was a freshman in high school, the love of basketball, and dealing with money. My mother always told me if basketball do not work out, what is your back up plan. She also told me since you like dealing with money and playing sports pick up a career that suits what you enjoy doing. So I chose sports management because I feel that is the best fit for me. I have learned about this field through research and reading on the internet. My career goals is to strive for the best in my basketball career playing college or maybe even pro ball if that is god plan for me, and after become a sport agent or a basketball commentator. My G.P.A is not what top colleges/university would like, it is not that high not where I want it to be, but I am trying my hardest to get it up to par. To prove to people that I can be successful in life, and I am not like my father. I am going to be better. Yes I have had to overcome obstacles, my 9th grade year it kind of knocked me off track, my mind was not right. I did not let that stop me because I am back on track did not let those obstacles keep me discourage because I am back on track and also want to make my mother proud. A personal characteristic I can tell you is I am passionate about sports (basketball) and I love dealing with money. I possess leadership skills because at my church I am the president over the brotherhood ministry, vice president over the male youth choir, and for my high school basketball team I am a captain, which I possess leadership on and off the court I am a hard worker and every night I fall asleep I dream about basketball,me playing in college and even professionally.I have not yet decided what college i will like to attend. The size of the school really does not matter to me, the division i would like to attend is D1 or D2. Although whatever college I attend, would greatly appreciate the time and the effort of attending your school and being an impact as soon as I touch the campus and court. I am an very hard workers that want to be the best I can be. I would be honored to attend your school and further my education.
