Justin Lefont '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Justin Lefont and I am interested in pursuing my college education while playing basketball. My highest accomplishments would be my DI AAU team, the Boys and Girls Club of Marion County Magic�??s, placing 14th in the state by AAU rankings and 4th in the State by USSSA rankings. We placed first in most tournaments such as the ESPN Christmas tournament, North Gainesville Shootout, 11th annual Stampede Shootout, and placed 2nd in the Super Regional tournament at Disney�??s ESPN Wide World of Sports all within the summer of 2010. I was awarded MVP of my Junior varsity team during my Sophmore year in High School. I was also awarded the Top Athelete in the Fundamental Skills Competition of the AAU All American Skills Academy held in Orlando during July of 2011.  I am looking for a school that is not only focused on wining, but is also focused on developing its students to be well prepared for life. I believe I am a good leader, play better under pressure, and play better as a teammate than an individual. I am the type of player that is willing to do all he can to be a starter and help his team excel to the next level. I am not one that focuses on scoring, but on winning and having the team succeed as a whole. I am a hard working player, I do not stop until the whistle is blown and by the end of the game I have left everything out there. At the point in time when I am on the bench I sit and cheer and encourage my team and do all I can from the sideline. By being a part of your college program I believe I can bring leadership, discipline, good work ethic, perseverance, good character, self-control, attitude, and the will to rise above adversity. I am a respectable player on and off the court and have not presented myself as a problem to authority and my fellow peers. I believe that basketball is not the only thing in life, but is a tool to help me achieve my goals in life and if given the possibility be an example to other players. I as a student am currently taking higher level courses and am preparing myself for my college career which is to major in Business and Psychology.
