Jordan Blecher '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, I am Jordan Blecher, a 5'10", 180 pound guard out of Miami, Florida with above average speed and a dedicated work ethic. For my size, my strength is well above average as well, which is something I often use to my advantage. Although not gifted with premium height, I make up for it with a gritty, fast, and hustle oriented style of play. Every minute I play on the court is delivered at 110%. I've been a two-sport athlete for the past five years, routinely combining Basketball and Track as my two passions. Football was my third sport, but due to injury, I was forced to take a bow. I am fully certain that I can offer leadership due to the fact that I've been a captain of my respective basketball teams for four out of the past five years. I acknowledge that even when I don't get a captain's designation, I try to be vocal within my own boundaries. Whenever a coach hasn't had faith in me, I've done my best job to exceed predisposed expectations with hustle and smarts. My mother would always get upset at me, even today, because I'm typically the person last to leave the basketball gym, the track, or whatever field I'm on because if I had the choice, I'd live at whichever given venue. I would personally like to stay in school along the east coast, but if a given opportunity or circumstance arose, I'd fully consider all of my options. My school preferences aren't really narrowed down, except I know I'd be a bit more tentative towards a devout religious school. Any school that gives me an opportunity to play and compete will get my attention. My truly intended major hasn't been decided yet, so I will take my time with that, but I'm pretty certain that a career in architecture or design wouldn't really be my thing. My realistic goals are to just be able to get a chance to play anywhere that I'm afforded the opportunity. Once that situation is controlled, I'd let my work ethic and my destiny do the rest.
