Leonardo Simeon '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Leonardo Simeon, a Basketball player with strong leadership capabilities, persistence and innate desire to excel at the next level. I started playing basketball since the age of 5. I fell in love with the game since the first time i pick up a basketball and started playing. From there on I knew i was going to put in the time and effort to play at the collegiate level and everyday since then i wake up for a purpose, to get better day in and day out for God,Me and my family Grind to Shine day in and day out. I have a great combination of skills for a guard from the 3 point shot, Ball handling skills and the I.Q of a High School player, hard work and my dedication i plan on improving as i go along the road of Hard work .Currently my position on the court is a guard, primarily a point guard and i have confidence in my abilities on the court and off the court. I believe in order to have success on the court you have to do what is right off  the court which means in the class room academically and being able to have self control both on court and off the court. But when I am on the court i gave 110% day in and day out leaving sweat, blood, and occasionally tears on the court. My success on the court all begins on the defensive end and i believe that's one of the most important keys to winning on the court as a team after having chemistry. I also believe in ball movement, which is an important asset of being a point guard .As i work day in and day out i work to improve all my abilities from being a scorer to a passer and most importantly staying healthy and working on my defensive skills while getting bigger, faster and Stronger. My best ability on the court is being a role model for younger kid to follow and live there dreams as they vision it would be without a doubt. Also being the leader while on the court and off the court. My specialties on the court is being an on court coach where i listen and direct the offense as it has been explained to me and being able to improvise less than a second if the plays are not going as planned.
