Michael Ramirez '18 Recruiting Profile

            My passion is to be the best basketball player I could ever be. I have the drive and hunger to play basketball. I do not simply see basketball as a sport; it is my life's dream to play for college and then in the NBA. I have been playing basketball ever since I was five years old, and through the years and up to this day I have continued to practice improving my skills and talent.

            Whether I’m at school during practice, after school playing basketball at home, or practicing by myself during the weekends, I give my best effort and constantly keep my head in the game while picturing myself playing in the NCAA. I imagine and picture all the plays and situations that can occur during a real game

            Playing basketball all my life has taught me how to be a good leader, team player, adaptable, and coachable. I have learned from my mistakes and always strive for greatness. I enjoy learning from my coach, teammates, and professional athletes that I admire. Knowing that drive is important for success, I give 110% on the court despite being tired and ready to give up. When my team is down, I encourage them to keep pushing forward and to forget about the bad play. I tell them to change their mindset, move on to the next play, and think about what can be done better next time to improve our strategy and plays.

            I will be an exceptional candidate for any college basketball team. My work ethic, passion, and dedication to excel in all aspects of my basketball career will allow me to reach my full potential as an individual in life and as a team player on the court. My heart, eyes, and mind are in the game once my feet step on the court,and it is my ambition paired with my skills that drives me to win.
