Robert Blount '21 Recruiting Profile

I am Pierce Blount, a 6’1” combo-guard at Tampa Preparatory School in Tampa, FL. In addition to being an Honor Roll Student, my greatest attributes as a student athlete are that I am a coachable team player who believes that you can’t beat hustle. Since the age of five, my energy, defense, hustle, and leadership have earned me playing opportunities.

My career aspiration is to become a Senior Video and Digital Media Producer at a respectable media company. Since my sophomore year of high school, I  have been enrolled in the Film Production Program. I enjoy taking footage from my basketball games, editing it, and producing my own highlight films that I send to college basketball coaches in an effort to market myself for college basketball recruitment (see attached). My passion for this field led me to work together with my peers and establish the inaugural Tampa Preparatory School Film Club. 

Media provides access to information all over the world. The power of the media raises our consciousness and increases awareness of critical issues throughout the world. It is my hope that I can influence professionally and inspire culturally, diversity in this very important space.
