Growing up with 2 brothers and my Mom really influenced me to get involved in something to keep me busy. Basketball was the sport that would keep me out of trouble and get me known around the community. When I was 5 years old, my mom wanted me to go outside and play so she gave me a basketball. Soon I started practicing with my brothers every day after school until the street lights came on. I've learned that whenever I'm on the court, all my worries or troubles seem to fade away and I get into the zone.
My academic goals for high school and college is to receive a full scholarship in academics and basketball. I've had to overcome a lot of obstacles such as death in the family and my parents getting divorced but I'm determined and motivated to be the best athlete that I can be. I believe that being able to play at a high level in basketball is a unique characteristic that I possess.
